Everyone at the Richtree family is excited about the delicious changes happening in 2015.
The most exciting news is the addition of Corporate Chef Andre Walker to the team! With over 25 years in the business, Chef Andre promises to keep Richtree’s commitment of offering fresh, healthy and delicious dishes, but with a few new twists.
Hailing from a small town in the North Island of New Zealand, Chef Andre made the decision to apply to cooking school simply because “he loves to eat”. They say that if you do what you love, then you’ll love what you do and Andre is a true testament to that. After having worked all over the world, including in some of Toronto’s most prestigious establishments like Pusateris and the Distillery District, Chef Andre has arrived at Richtree and we are VERY EXCITED to have him!
What is your philosophy on GOOD FOOD?
“Good food happens when you handle your ingredients with care and respect. Minimal processing and letting the natural flavours of the ingredients be the stars on the plate. Nature is the true Artisan…Chefs are simply finishing of their work.”
What can we look forward to from Richtree in 2015?
“2015 is going to be a BIG year for Richtree! We’ll be incorporating a broader range of fresh and healthy ingredients into some of our menu offerings to better align them with the market’s need for fast, fresh, healthy and great tasting foods. You’ll also see new versions of comfort dishes on our menu that will revoke childhood memories – so simply put, the same quality food I would serve to my family.”
